The former Indian cricketer has taken down the video and has apologized for their actions in the video that allegedly indirectly mocked people with disabilities.

India won against Pakistan in the World Championship of Legends Final, which served as an event of joy and happiness for all Indian players, including Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina, who made a “funny” reel on Vicky Kaushal’s viral song “Tauba Tauba” from his upcoming film Bad Newz. However, the reel did not sit well with many on social media, including para-athlete Manasi Joshi, who commented on the post, criticizing the actions of the former cricket players.

Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina made a reel and later deleted it.

Harbhajan Singh, sharing the reel on Tauba Tauba, wrote in the post, “Body ki Tauba Tauba ho gayi in 15 days legends cricket. Every part of the body is sore.” Bhajji Paaji described the intense cricketing schedule that had taken a toll on their bodies and that their body parts had become sore. However, in the reel, they, for fun, were seen limping.

Para badminton star Manasi Joshi strongly condemns the reel.

Manasi Joshi strongly criticized the players for ridiculing the walking patterns of individuals with disabilities. She commented on the post, “Wanted more responsibility from the stars that you all are, please do not mock at the gait patterns of people with disabilities. This isn’t funny. You don’t know how much harm your behavior can do. The appreciation you’re getting from people around is appalling to see. This reel of yours is going to encourage that it is ok to make fun of the walking patterns of people with disabilities for a few laughs. More young children with disabilities will be bullied by using this reel. If any of you athletes would have done responsible community service in disability space area, you all would not have come up with this reel. I’m scared how the PR agencies of these athletes approved this reel for public platform. I’m really disappointed in you @harbhajan3 @sureshraina3 and all the people in the comments section who are appropriating this reel. This isn’t legendary if you’re mocking the gait patterns of people with polio. This enables bullying on young children with disabilities in India.”

Soon, Harbhajan Singh issued an apology and took down the video, writing that they didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiments and respected every individual and community. The video only showed their sore bodies after playing cricket for 15 days. He said, “SORRY” to everyone.
