Man slits the throat of his wife and his in-laws in Uttar Pradesh

 A case has been registered after a man in Uttar Pradesh barged into his in-laws’ house at night and attacked them.

Another shocking incident has made headlines in a dispute between a man and his in-laws. The incident took place in Hasanpur in the Nagra police station area when the accused, identified as Amit Kumar Gupta, allegedly sneaked into his in-laws’ house at night. He allegedly entered their house and attacked them.

A man from Hasanpur in Uttar Pradesh allegedly murdered his wife and attacked his mother-in-law and father-in-law, who are now critical after the brutal attack. After stabbing his wife to death, he seriously injured his in-laws on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, said police. Ballia SP Omvir Singh said a domestic dispute between the accused and his wife is suspected to be the trigger behind the attack. The SP also added that the three teams have been formed to arrest the accused, identified as Amit Kumar Gupta. The incident happened in Hasanpur in the Nagra police station area when Amit allegedly sneaked into his in-laws’ house around 12.30 am on Sunday through the roof. He slit the throats of his wife, Preeti Gupta (23), and mother-in-law, Sushila Devi (55) with a knife, said the police.

When the father-in-law intervened, Amit Gupta attacked him as well.

When the accused’s father-in-law, Antu Gupta (60), tried to intervene, Amit allegedly attacked him as well, leaving him critically injured. Antu Gupta was initially taken to the district hospital, from where he was referred to a trauma centre in Varanasi as his condition worsened. As per the police, Amit also tried to strangulate his sister-in-law when she attempted to intervene before fleeing the spot. Based on a complaint filed by a family member, police have registered a case of murder after sending the bodies for post-mortem.

The couple had been married for five years. The woman had returned to her parental home about a month ago, said the police.
