India’s ace and most celebrated fashion designer Manish Malhotra to make a proud debut at the Paris Haute Couture Week 2026.
Indian fashion is set to make history as celebrated designer Manish Malhotra prepares for his debut at Paris Haute Couture Week this July. The announcement, shared by Malhotra on Instagram, marks the first time his label will officially feature on the prestigious Paris calendar. Calling it “an honour,” he emphasized how Made in India couture is once again stepping onto the global stage.
According to the brand’s statement, the showcase will highlight the artistry and glamour that define the House of Manish Malhotra. For the designer, this milestone is not just about fashion—it is about presenting India’s centuries‑old craftsmanship in a contemporary luxury language.
Malhotra’s journey began in Bollywood, where he transformed costume design into high fashion. Over his 35‑year career, he has consistently elevated traditional techniques such as zardozi and chikankari, blending them with modern silhouettes. His creations, worn by celebrities on red carpets and at weddings, are celebrated for their exclusivity and intricate detailing.
This Paris debut follows his impactful appearances at the Met Gala. In 2025, he presented a black sherwani with a cape adorned in glass beads and gilded motifs. A year later, he paid tribute to Mumbai, his home city, through a bandhgala layered with an architectural cape—crafted over 960 hours by more than 50 artisans.
The upcoming couture week will feature fall/winter 2026‑27 collections from global designers, and Malhotra’s presence signals a new chapter for Indian fashion. His inclusion reflects how Indian textiles and design are increasingly recognized as part of the international luxury narrative.
Stylists, models, and celebrities have already congratulated him, underscoring the significance of this achievement. For Malhotra, Paris is not just another runway—it is a stage where Indian heritage meets global couture.
