Kangana Ranaut has reacted to the union budget 2024, which Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented on Tuesday, July 23. The actor shared a picture on Instagram that featured BJP MPs Ravi Kishan and Bansuri Swaraj along with her. She praised the new union budget and called it “wholesome.” She also referred to the announcement regarding food relief for Himachal Pradesh and said, “We are very happy with the budget.” Captioning her Instagram post, she wrote, “Wholesome budget Parliament budget session.”

What did Nirmala Sitharaman say about HP’s food relief?

Nirmala Sitharaman, in her budget speech in Lok Sabha, spoke about how Himachal Pradesh suffered extensive losses due to floods last year. Speaking on the same, she said, “Our government will provide assistance to the state for reconstruction and rehabilitation through multilateral development assistance.” Besides this, she said that the government focuses on employment, skilling, MSMEs, and the middle class. She announced the PM’s package of five schemes and initiatives facilitating employment, skilling, and other opportunities for 4.1 crore youth over a 5-year period with a central outlay of Rs. 2 lakh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the budget 2024, congratulating the nation’s citizens and highlighting how it strengthens every section of the society. He said it is a budget for the continuity of empowerment of the new middle class. He also spoke about empowering the Dalit and backward classes, giving unlimited opportunities to the youth and new strength to the middle class, concluding how “25 crore people have risen above poverty in the last 10 years” and how the “budget strengthens employment and self-employment.”
