A shocking incident made it to the news headlines earlier in the day when a teacher from a school in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, beat a student for wearing a cap to school. After the child’s father’s complaint, the teacher has now been booked for the abuse.

A teacher from a school in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia was booked for reportedly abusing a student for wearing a cap to school. The incident took place on December 20, but an FIR was lodged against the teacher, Jitendra Rai, on Wednesday at the Chitbaragaon police station. According to the police, the teacher allegedly used abusive language against the student, Shlok Gupta, and beat him for wearing a cap to school. When the student’s father, Anil Gupta, complained to the school principal about the incident the next day, the teacher allegedly beat the student again and banged his head against the wall.
An FIR was lodged against the teacher.
An FIR has been lodged against Jitendra Rai, a Nav Bharat Children Academy teacher. The student’s father, Anil Gupta, lodged the complaint from Jai Prakash Nagar village on Wednesday.
Prashant Kumar Chaudhary, in-charge of Chitbaragaon police station, said, “An FIR has been filed against Jitendra Rai, a teacher at Nav Bharat Children Academy, on the complaint of Anil Kumar Gupta.” In his complaint, Anil Gupta accused Jitendra Rai of using abusive language against his son, Shlok Gupta, for wearing a cap to school and beating him for it.
